This thing took FOREVER to set up. We lost a few loved ones, (Little Punk, I'll miss you) but we grew into more mature responsible individuals. There was blood, tears, horrible breakdowns, and even emo-induced quivering in dark cold corners after endless hours staring and interpreting code.

Code hates me. I'm on it's hitlist.

Ninjabi Comics and where it all began.

Ninjabi was a joint project that was thought up years ago but didn't really go anywhere until 2005. The comic is loosely based on the creators' lives and [hopes to] deals with many current issues facing muslim youth. The main character is Noor, a hijabi muslim girl. Her best friends include non-muslims and non-hijabis.

Amethyst has a tendancy to tell a lot of "stories" and illustrating them was just the next step. Especially after her family would lock themselves in the bathroom to get away from her...

The comics are drawn with a Wacom tablet directly in Adobe Illustrator. Sometimes sketchs are created beforehand in Autodesk Sketchbook.

Both programs are rock. My tablet is my baby.

She's somewhat of a procrastinator, but she likes challenges. She LOVES technology, and actually remarried Google recently.
